Simplex Spelling presents a robust methodology for enhancing English spelling and reading skills. The efficacy of Simplex Spelling has been scientifically validated. A published study indicated that students utilizing the program in a classroom setting over an 18-week period achieved an average spelling improvement of 1.9 grade levels, with some students measuring up to 4.4 grade levels of improvement as assessed by the Schonell Spelling Test.
